I want to begin this first lesson with a little humility…
When I first ventured into the world of niche blogging and making money online, I had no freaking idea what I was doing. I must have tried every single online business under the sun before finally settling on starting a niche blog.
I figured blogging would be easy. And so I decided to give it a try.
On August 6, 2013, I hit publish on my very first blog post ever. That blog post began with this favorite quote of mine…
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?”

It was an inspiring post. One that I am still very proud of today.
But somehow, life got in the way, and shortly after publishing that post I completely abandoned my blog for several years following.
You see, when I started my blog, I had absolutely no game plan. And if one thing is certain about any new pursuit, is that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.
Take a second to consider what you're currently pursuing.
If you’re reading this email, there's a good chance that you're interested in starting an online business, making passive income, or perhaps starting a niche blog of your own.
And so I have a question for you…
What’s your game plan? How exactly will you get from where you are, to where you want to be?
If you don't have a solid game plan of the exact steps you’ll take to get your business venture from zero to profitable and you’re just shooting in the dark and hoping for the best… I want to urge you to seriously reconsider.
If you venture into this world of business without a solid blueprint, you're likely to arrive at the same destination as I did in 2013 and the others that came before you with no direction.
And that destination is almost certainly failure.
Starting any online business is an incredible opportunity that can completely change your life. But as with any new pursuit, you need to commit to taking it seriously and go into this venture with a solid plan.
Once I began taking my online business seriously, it took me less than a year to start earning $120,000/yr passive income online from my niche blog. And if I can do this, you can do this too.
But one step at a time, eh.
Over the course of this email series, I'll show you the top three most effective ways to quickly monetize a niche blog and start earning from day one (coming up in an upcoming email lesson).
But for now…Let's get your niche blog up and running.
STEP 1:
Setting up your website today is one of the biggest and most important hurdles you’ll take.
Why is it important that you start today — and not tomorrow?
Because after helping lots of ladies (and gentlemen to) successfully start and grow profitable online businesses, I’ve found that those who do the following two things are most likely to actually succeed.
Thing #1: Be a decisive and fast action taker.
Thing #2: Focus on tackling one objective at a time.
Today's objective… get your website online!
Even if you're not 100% sure what niche you’d like to start your business in or what to blog about, that’s totally ok. We'll be covering that in-depth tomorrow in Lesson 2: How to choose a perfectly profitable niche.
Don't make the same mistake that I did…
Don't get caught in the trap of wasting time deciding what the perfect name for your website or blog should be (this is a major regret of mine). I wasted SO much time doing this.
The truth is, it’s such a waste of time because you can always (and you probably will) decide to change it later. So don't let it keep you stuck.
What's important today, is one single objective. Get your website up and running in 10 minutes!
